At the moment, Oxon Carts cannot ply for hire, however, we are ready and waiting to take your bookings! The Environment Scrutiny Committee has agreed to recommend to the City Council that they lobby national government for a change in legislation which would allow pedicabs to ply for hire. More immediately, they are also recommending a voluntary code of conduct for rickshaw operators in Oxford which Oxon Carts would sign up to.
We are fully insured and require the highest standards of road safety from our riders, to give you the novelty and light-heartedness of a rickshaw, with the assurances expected from a taxi.
