Rickshaw City Tour

The pedal-powered sightseeing tour of Oxford

Discover Oxford with a tour through its beautiful streets (many of which are closed to motorised traffic) led by a fit, fun and knowledgeable guide. The OxonCarts tour of Oxford provides a uniquely memorable vantage point from which to see the city.

The Oxon Carts Oxford tour is featured in the latest edition of the Lonely Planet England travel guide:

"Oxon Carts runs a fleet of five pedicabs around Oxford's narrow lanes where the buses simply can't go. Passengers receive a copy of a 1904 map of the city and personal guide to its buildings and history."

A full hour-long tour costs £25- Just £12.50 per person!

Tour Route

Our tour specialises in the history of Oxford University and its relationship with the rest of the city. But we’re
not restricted to a pre-set route – you can choose where you want to go, and what you’d like to see – ours are the only fully-flexible Oxford tours!

You can even start and finish your tour in different places, perhaps ending with an afternoon of punting.

Vouchers are available: a perfect present! At the start of your tour, you’ll be greeted by your friendly guide, and given a 1904 map of Oxford (don’t worry, it hasn’t changed much!). Your guide will ask if you have some particular sights in mind for your tour, however we do have a standard itinerary, just in case! You can also let us know in advance if you’d like your tour to take in specific parts of Oxford.
